Hispanopedia is an interactive encyclopedia in Spanish based on a wiki model.
The wiki is the main project of the non-profit cultural association of the same name, registered in Spain.
Founded by Rafael Minuesa, it began operating on August 1, 2015, and currently already has 25 articles.[1]

The platform is open to the collaboration of all those interested in contributing content related to the Hispanist sphere at a global level, regardless of their gender, race or nationality. As an encyclopedia, Hispanopedia strives to present its content clearly and objectively, free of any kind of prejudice.[2]
Relationship with Wikipedia
Much of Hispanopedia's content has been obtained from the Spanish Wikipedia, by virtue of the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International license that also governs Hispanopedia's content. Our main work consists of correcting and adding content to these pages. For this reason, it is possible to find content on the wiki that has not yet been edited, and that is presented exactly as it appears on Wikipedia, awaiting one of our contributors to take on the task.
However, unlike the Spanish Wikipedia, Hispanopedia does not allow everyone who wishes to write, but only those who can truly write correctly and with knowledge of the subjects covered. It is not necessary to be an academic, but it is necessary at least to write correctly and knowledgeably, and to contribute sufficiently documented content with reliable references.
Another difference from the Spanish Wikipedia is that on Hispanopedia all editors write under their real first and last names, and their contributions appear that way on the History page of each article. Anonymous contributions are not accepted.
